About the founder

Guilherme Perotta, founder of Just Invoice

Guilherme founded and built Just Invoice in Canada after seeing his wife's small business struggle to create simple invoices without a full accounting suite. His professional background is in software engineering, and the product remains focused on practical invoicing for Canadian small businesses.

My name is Guilherme Perotta, and I am originally from Brazil. When I was 17, I started learning French, and a few years later I went to Montreal to study at Université de Montréal, where I met my future wife.

Eventually, I moved to Canada, got married, and now have five loving kids. I have been working in software engineering for the last 10 years for an ISP company as my day job, and I have always liked exploring new ideas in my spare time.

Just Invoice was born after seeing my wife struggle to create simple invoices without a full accounting suite for her own small business.

So I built Just Invoice with a focus on the essentials: easy invoice creation, a Canada-friendly tax setup, and nothing that gets in your way. No bloated features, no confusing workflows — just what you actually need to bill your clients and move on with your day.

In our family, we love supporting small businesses around us by buying local and made-in-Canada products. I believe in small businesses here in Canada, and that is at the very heart of why I am building Just Invoice: to help them thrive.
